Resumed postal services to the US and its Overseas Territories
7 October 2025
Postal services have resumed instore at Australia Post for all Retail and Business customers sending to the United States (US) and its Overseas Territories, including Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and the U.S. Minor Outlying Islands.
This applies to all items lodged in an Australia Post retail outlet, except for 'International Courier' branded services to the US which remain temporarily unavailable.
This follows a temporary suspension since Tuesday, 26 August 2025, caused by changes to customs and import tariff rules made by the US Government.
Australia Post is unable to confirm at this time when services will resume for 'International Courier' branded services to the US. We will continue to keep you informed as the situation develops. Thank you for your patience. Letters and documents with no commercial value, and gifts valued under USD$100, are not affected by the new tariff rules.
