Post office and retail updates

From 2 February 2026, eligible customers can purchase up to 75 concession stamps per year, up from the previous limit of 50.

From Monday 26 January 2026, third-party gift cards will no longer be sold via the Australia Post online shop. Gift cards are still available for purchase at participating Australia Post outlets. 

On 1 February, price changes will take effect for Post Office boxes, common boxes, private bags   and locked bags.  For more details about these services, see PO boxes & locked bags. 

Australia Post will no longer offer new subscriptions or renewals to the Self-Managed Super Funds Gateway Service online or in-store from close of business Saturday 29 November 2025.

From 1 September 2025, we will no longer offer new policies for car, home, contents and landlord insurance. Policy renewals and NSW CTP Green Slip insurance will remain available until further notice.

From 12 February 2025, we're prioritising our core range of products to ensure we are meeting the needs of our customers. This will mean some product ranges will no longer be available online but still be available at participating Post Offices.

As REDcycle have ceased operations due to challenges in the recycling network, our customers are no longer able to recycle their used plastic satchels via REDcycle bins.
